In Part 1 Dr. Keith provides background on what was happening in the sixties that caused him to write the Paradoxical Commandments as part of a book for student leaders.

In Part 2 Dr. Keith explains the message of the Paradoxical Commandments--that we can still find meaning and deep happiness even when the world is crazy.

Part 3 describes the influences on Dr. Keith that helped him to write the Paradoxical Commandments as a 19-year-old college sophomore. He describes his family, his understanding of Good Friday, two events that impacted him, how long it took him to decide to write, and why he had the time to write the booklet that included the Paradoxical Commandments.

In this segment of the interview, Dr. Keith describes how the Paradoxical Commandments spread around the world. He offers possible reasons to explain why they have been used by millions of people. He tells the story of how he discovered that Mother Teresa put the commandments up on the wall of her children's home in Calcutta, and how that inspired him to start speaking and writing about the commandments again, 30 years after he first published them.
